Painting "The Act of Being Free in One Act"

acrylic on paper, 48"x57"
"The Act of Being Free in One Act" shows a bold, riderless horse charging from the center of the frame towards the viewer. Fragments of text and fragements of lines surround the central image. In an early version of the piece, the horse had a rider, which Hunter-Cutrona painted out of the picture when he realized that with a rider the horse could not be free.
